INTRODUCTION TO HYPNOSIS
Believe it or not, you probably spend seven hours of every 24-hour day in a state of natural hypnosis. You enter this state just before going to sleep and upon awakening as well as during daydreams and meditation. If you’ve ever driven home with no recollection of having done so, it’s because you were in a self-induced hypnotic trance. Hypnosis is a natural and efficient waking state of mind in which you are in communication with your subconscious mind offering you a tremendous opportunity for healing and spiritual growth.
Your hypnotherapist guides you with simple verbal instructions to place yourself into a hypnotic trance and to explore your subconscious and superconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is the home of all your feelings, habits and memories, everything that has ever happened to you. You can use hypnosis to change whatever you wish to change in your life. The power of hypnosis always rests with the client, not the hypnotherapist and it is possible to practice self hypnosis. You will only go as deep as you need to go. Some people go deeper than others but even if you go to the lightest stages of hypnosis you will still be able to benefit from its therapeutic effects.
Always bear in mind that the ego cannot be detached during hypnosis which means that you will not reveal anything during a trance that you would not normally discuss. Your moral and ethical codes can never be violated. Since you are deeply relaxed but awake, you will have a complete recollection of what transpired while in trance.
You can expect to experience a feeling of deep relaxation and a reduction in muscular activity. You will feel languorous and lazy. You will experience a narrowing of attention. You are aware of other sounds and sensations but your focus is on the hypnotist’s voice.
You have the power and ability to revisit an earlier age or a past life since your subconscious mind’s memory bank remembers everything your soul has ever experienced. You will be guided to revisit these past events first as a neutral observer, without feeling or emotion, just as if you were watching a television show.
If you feel uncomfortable at any time you can awaken yourself from trance. You will be able to let your mind review its vast store of emotions and memories and follow the instructions to perceive the scenes of your own past.

This is the actual sequence of the operation of the mind in many instances. The thought follows the emotion so quickly that you think the thought precipitated the emotion. Many of your thoughts and reactions are driven by old, stored emotions and memories that are no longer relevant or helpful. Hypnosis is a safe, effective way to bypass your conscious mind and communicate with your uncensored subconscious mind. It allows you to reevaluate and desensitize deep-seated emotions, perceptions and self-limiting thoughts that sabotage your happiness, health and efficiency. It will help you reinforce a new way of thinking that doesn't use labels, blame and assume negative judgments in the minds of others. Whether you’re aware of it or not, all your answers lie within.
